Event Details

On June 4, 2011 we will be holding a Standoff like none other in all of Northern California. This event is being held in honor of Addison Enos, the daughter of Carl and Amanda Enos, and grandaughter of Robin and Wally Enos (retired Fire Captain of the West Sacramento Fire Dept.) Addison

Addison a vibrant and special 2 year old little girl, who was diagnosed at 18 months old with a rare blood disease (HLH) and several months later with AML leukemia. She is one of only a few reported children to ever have both diseases, so curing Addison has been a tough and very long process. Addison has received over 59  blood product transfusions, 7 different chemo therapies and in January 2011 she also received a bone marrow transplant, from a brave donor. Late in March Addison 's doctors discover that her Leukemia had survived transplant.

Though she has spent months in the hospital she is like most toddlers; she loves to color with her Dad, she plays along with her Buzz and Woody dolls while watching Toy Story, she wishes she could fly like Tinkerbell and she could spend hours singing and dancing along to Tangled or Mickey Mouse with her Mom. Addison has restarted chemotherapy to prepare for another bone marrow transplant.

AddisonAddison's Mom and Dad are by her side 24/7. With family and community support encouraging and blessing them daily, they work tirelessly toward recovery for Addie; filled with playing, singing and love.

This call is going out to all the men and women who have served our country whether it be through the Military, Fire, Law Enforcement or Special Operations. We need you!Addison

We are

CrossFit West Sacramento

To be a successful CrossFitter requires dedication and commitment to our core values of hard work in the gym and responsible living outside of the gym. Success in a CrossFit workout is not defined by our WOD times. Success is defined by our adherence to the movement standards of each exercise in every workout.

Functional movements are not unobtainable activities that only a select few people can do. These are movements that have been chosen specifically because the human body is meant to perform them. Pushing, pulling, running, jumping, squatting and lunging are all functional movements that directly transfer into real world scenarios. We owe it to ourselves to strive to achieve as many of these functional movements as possible.

As CrossFitters, we train for one goal.  Increased function. In doing so, our bodies are forged into strong, capable examples of the human form. Success as a CrossFitter boils down to one core principal “ PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE. This accountability must be applied both in and out of the gym.
